Research on the Theories and Assessment Method of Carrying Capacity of Marine Region

It is the important content of solving population,resource,and environmental coordinated development to research the carrying capacity.At present the research on carrying capacity mainly concentrates on the carrying capacity of population and economy,such as,the water resource carrying capacity,the land resource carrying capacity,the forest resource carrying capacity etc.Based on these theories,this text has creatively proposed the definition,the assessment index system,assessment method and research trend of the carrying capacity of marine region,and pointed out that the carrying capacity of marine region is the ability or limit that the ocean can support the coordinated development of population,environment and economy,over a period to come,with marine resources sustainable to utilize,marine ecological environment destroy for the principle, under the social goods and materials living standard of cultural norm at present.
