Comparison of the Effects of Ropivacaine and Bupivacaine for Subarachnoid Anesthesia in Cesarean Section

Objective To compare the anesthetic efficacy and safety of same concentration(0.5%) of ropivacaine and bupivacaine for subarachnoid anesthesia in cesarean section.Methods Sixty full-term maternals undergoing cesarean section were divided into two groups with thirty cases each by a randomized double-blind method:0.5% ropivacaine group(L group) and 0.5% bupivacaine group(B group).The onset and duration of sensory and motor block,anesthesia evaluation,adverse reactions such as nausea and vomiting,HR,BP,SpO2 during operation and Apgar scores of neonates at 1 min and 5 min after subarachnoid block were recorded and compared.Results The L group had slightly slower onset,lower block level and shorter flat fixed time than B group;The muscle relaxation score of B group was better than that of L group;Motor block Bromage score:L group B group;Hypotension and other adverse reactions during operation: L group B group.Conclusion 0.5% bupivacaine for subarachnoid block during cesarean section has slightly stronger anesthetic efficacy but slightly more side effects than 0.5% ropivacaine,and both all have good security.
