Abstract

【Objective】To investigate the correlation of Ang-4 protein expression on colorectal adenocarcinoma with its Clincopathological parameters. 【Methods】Immunohistochemistry technique was used to assess the expression levels Ang-4 protein in 45 cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma and 20 cases of normal colon tissues respectively. Its Clinipathological relation was analysised by SPSS 10.0 for Windows software. 【Results】The expression rate of Ang -4 protein in colorectal adenocarcinoma was significantly higher than that in normal colon tissues (75.6% vs 20.0%,P0.001). No correlations were found between the expression level of Ang-4 and the size ,invasion ability . The expression rate of Ang-4 protein was significantly correlated with the histological differentiation, lymph node metastasis and TNM staging.【Conclusion】The overexpression of Ang-4 protein may play an important role in angiogenesis of colorectal adenocarcinoma. It may be regarded as an index for prognosis in colorectal adenocarcinoma.
