Abstract
Based on low grade zinc oxide ore,the kinetics of low concentration ammonia leaching is studied. The results shows that the ammonia leaching of zinc oxide follows an unreacted shrinking core model, which conforms to the kinetic equation: 1-2a/3-(1-a)2/3=kt,the apparent activation energy of the leaching reaction is 25.84kJ/mol,and the leaching process is controlled by diffusion procedures. Thus the leaching rate and recovery can be improved by increasing the concentration and temperature of lixiviant.
