Abstract
Objective To study the effects of IFN-γ on expression of B7 molecules in human liver neoplasm cell line. Methods Human liver neoplasm HepG2 cells were cultured in vitro in the medium with IFN-γ respectively. cell proliferation effect was measured by MTT assay; expression of B7-1 and B7-2 mRNA was determined by RT-PCR. Results MTT shows that IFN-γ could reduce the HepG2 cell proliferation. expression of B7-1 and B7-2 signifi cantly increased in the IFN-γ group. Conclusion IFN-γ can inhibit cell proliferation. IFN-γ markedly enhance the expression of B7-1 and B7-2 in HepG2 line and plays a role in anti-cancer effect.
