Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between liver cirrhosis severity and thyroid hormone level.Methods 148 patients with liver cirrhosis were included in this study.57 of which were assesed as Child-Pugh level A,50 as level B,and 41 as level C.All the patients were detectd thyroid hormone level.Results The abnormal rate in was 26.3% in Child A,68.0% in Child B and 97.6% in Child C.Conclusion Serum thyroid hormone level was lower in patients with cirrhosis,mainly with TT3 level.The decreasing of TT3 was related to the sererity of cirrhosis.
