Abstract
Objective:To prepare 4-aminopyridine sustained-release pellets.Methods:Extrusion-spheronization technique was introduced to prepare 4-aminopy-ridine uncoated pellets and Eudragit dispersions were used as coating materials. The in vitro dissolution of the pellets was determined. Results:The prepared 4-aminop-yridine sustained-release pellets had a high roundness and the particle size was homogeneous. The release percentage was 40.6% in the first two hours and almost complete in the later ten hours. Conclusion:The release of 4-aminopyridine from sustained-release pellets is slow and steady;and the preparation technology is easy to operate.
