Abstract

Confucius and Mencius are the main representative figures of the Confucian,benevolence occupies a major status in the ethical thinking of Confucius and Mencius. By analyzing Confucius benev-olence thinking and Mencius thinking comparatively,people will have a clearer knowledge and understanding to the Confucian ethical thought and profound core of benevolence .
