Application of earned value management in developing project management software based on recursive query

Project management is always troubled by the combined monitoring of project cost and schedule.Based on the theory of earned value management,recursive query is utilized to expand the tree of work breakdown structure(WBS.) Cost factors are arranged to the bottom nodes of the WBS,and then three key process variables of earned value management are figured out and intuitively displayed on the interface of project management software to realize the combined monitoring of project cost and schedule.Good results are obtained and the process of project management can be controlled effectively.
