Effect of benazepril combined with rosiglitazone on patients with diabetic nephropathy

Abstract
ObjectiveTo observe the effect of benazepril combined with rosiglitazone on patients with diabetic nephropathy.MethodsA total of 84 patients with diabetic nephropathy treated in our hospital from January 2007 to December 2008 were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Patients in both groups were given the same regimen including common treatment,insulin injection and benazepril.The patients in treatment group were added with rosiglitazone.ResultsTotal effective rate in the treatment group(88.1%) was higher than that in control group(66.7%) with significant difference(P 0.05).There were statistically significant differences in levels of Upr,SCr,BUN in two groups before and after treatment(both P 0.05).Post-treatment improvements in these parameters were more obvious in the treatment group than in the control group(P 0.05).ConclusionCombination of the two drugs can be synergistic against DN development,largely improve the therapeutic effect,thus is worth further clinical application.
