Abstract
Objective To investigate the whole mental health and the reaction ability of recruits. Methods One hundred recruits were examined by the test of SCL-90,EPQ and numeric hunting test. Results The scores of SCL-90 in somatization,obsessive-compulsive,interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, photic anxiety and paranoid ideation in the recruits were significantly lower than those of soldiers' norm. There was correlation between the mean score of majority of the items of SCL-90 and every dimensional result of EPQ.The scale of ability test was significantly correlated to anxiety and introversion-extraversion.Conclusion These data suggest that psychological problems exist in recruits and should be concerned in order to maintain their physical and psychological health.
