Abstract
OBJECTIVE To compare the clinical curative effect of holmium laser lithotripsy with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in treatment of ureteral calculi.METHODS We collected the clinical data of ureteral calculi patients and compared the therapy and clinical symptoms between holmium laser lithotripsy and ESWL.RESULTS The effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group,however,the efficiency for upper ureteral calculi in control group was signiciantly higher than that in the treated group.CONCLUSION The ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy for distal ureteral calculi has good curative effect,and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy for upper ureteral calculi has good effect.
