Abstract
Local participation was the impetus of sustainable development in rural tourism.Several factors affected the process of local participation in rural tourism.This paper discovered that the central factors included cultural belonging,distribution of profit,identity to benefit,organizational demand,policy support,participation ability,through investigation with questionnaire in four village destinations in south of Anhui.The organization and people engaged in rural tourism operation and management,should eliminate obstacles,provided reasonable participation channels,and conducted necessary residents training,residents should strengthen the own culture,knowledge and technical skills,to advance ability in rural tourism.
