Abstract
The definition that credit is to keep one's words in social and economic interactions is powerful enough to almost cover every aspect of economic activities and social life, and to interpret various individual behaviors. The economics meaning of credit is to keep contract run,be honest in transaction, and cast opportunist behaviors away. This complies both with the general definition which focuses on the inherent quality of keeping promise, and with economic credit's characteristics which attach importance to honest transaction,to contract and never harming the benefits of the other party by taking advantage of information. While honesty and trust, trust and reputation have close relationship with credit,it is necessary to give a theoretical discrimination on these concepts.
