Study of ropivacaine mesylate combined with sufentanil for labor analgesia

Objective To observe the effects of ropivacaine mesylate combined with sufentanil for spinal-epidural labor analgesia.Methods Sixty parturients were equally randomized into 2 groups: 2.38 mg ropivacaine mesylate+1.5 μg sufentanil(group J)and 5 μg sufentanil group(group S).Epidural catheter was placed after subarachnoid administration in the two groups for labor analgesia.The onset time of subarachnoid administration,duration of analgesia,visual analogue scale(VAS) before administration and 5,10,15,30,60 min after administration,motor block of lower extremities,labor time and method,neonatal Apgar score,and adverse reaction of parturients were recorded.Results Both groups had satisfactory analgesia effect with the average VAS 1-3 points and the motor nerve block score 0-1 points.Labor time and method and neonatal Apgar score had no difference between the two groups.The incidence of pruritus in group J was lower than group S(P0.01).Conclusion Ropivacaine mesylate 2.38 mg+1.5 μg sufentanil used in spinal-epidural labor analgesia were safe and effective.
