Livestock Husbandry in Shayuan Area during Tang and Song Dynasties

During Tang and Song dynasties,livestock husbandry in Shayuan area has developed on the basis of full use of local natural resources.It provided the governments with enough livestock products and large quantity of horses for wars.Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty set up supervisory offices there to strengthen management of livestock husbandry.With the development of livestock husbandry there,some animal farms were brought under cultivation into fertile farmland.
