Abstract
A hybrid process of coagulation-sand filtration-ultrafiltration membrane for treatment of Yangtze River water was investigated in a pilot scale. The results demonstrated that coagulation-sand filtration as a pretreatment could remove organics effectively. The transmembrane pressure was increased slowly during running of 5 months, so that the long-term running had been achieved. The turbidity, COD_(Mn) and DOC in treated water were 0.068 NTU, 1.23 mg/L and 1.3 mg/L, respectively.
