Abstract

The combined process of coagulation, precipitation and ultrafiltration was used to treat Yangtze River raw water in low temperature and low turbidity period, and the removal effect of pollutants by ultrafiltration membrane was investigated. The test was started at the end of the last chemical cleaning cycle,at that time, transmembrane pressure was low, which was beneficial to study the influence of temperature on the transmembrane pressure. The results show that regardless of water quality before membrane treatment, the effluent turbidity of membrane system is below 0.1 NTU,indicating that the membrane process has good adaptability to raw water quality. The total removal rate of CODMn is 20%,but the removal effect of UV254 is not obvious. The removal effect of total iron is very significant, and regardless of fluctuations of the incoming water quality, the total iron and manganese contents of produced water are below 0.05 mg/L.Using precipitation effluent as ultrafiltration influent can relieve membrane fouling to a certain extent, thus reducing the economic loss from chemical cleaning.
