Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of cefdinir in the treatment of community aquired pneumonia.Methods:29 patients of study group were treated with cefdinir in 9 ~ 18 mg/kg orally twice a day and 22 patients in control group with cefaclor 20 ~ 40 mg/kg orally three times a day for 5 to 7 days. Results:The total effective rates of the two groups were 100% and 91% respectively(P 0.05).No significant statistic difference was detected between the two groups. Conclusions:The efficacy and safty of cefdinir in the treatment of community aquired pneumonia is reliable.
