Abstract

Neither representative nor intersubjective objectivity cares about scientific practice. This article focuses on scientific instrumentation and thinks that there is no contradiction between the views that scientific instruments help to achieve intersubjectivity and scientific instruments ensure objectivity. On the one hand, the materiality and transparency of scientific instrumentation as well as trends of its black-boxing and standardization contribute objectivity of intersubjective sense to scientific community. On the other hand, objectivity is a practical achievement. In order to achieve objectivity through scientific instruments,we need to adapt to resistance and constraints of nature and scientific objects constantly in scientific practice. The acquirement of objectivity is the constant process of decontextualization.Scientific instrumentation is a strong guarantee for getting objectivity.
