Abstract

The effects of basal diets supplemented with fructooligosaccharides(FOS)on growth,metabolism and immune in weaning piglets were investigated.32 weaning pigles(Duroc×Large Yorkshire×Erhualian)were divided into two groups,which were fed with basal diets or basal diets supplemented with 0 17% FOS for 28 days respectively following 4 days pretreatment.The results showed that the group fed with FOS diets increased average daily gain by 3 88%(P0 05)compared with the control,reduced feed gain ratio by 4 67%.The blood urea nitrogen,T4 and IL 2 levels increased significantly(P0 05),glucose and T3 levels appeared a tendency towards increasing.
