Review on Research Methodology in Chinese Philosophy and the Way for Modern Development —Also the Relationship between Creative Capability in Thinking and the Modern Legality

The Chinese philosophical study for the nearer 100 years is in fact a process of looking for its legality. In order to gain this legality, many scholars apply the method and idea of western philosophy to traditional Chinese philosophy. But in my eyes, it neglects the special significance of Chinese philosophy and finally must lead to the death of Chinese philosophy. I think, the legality of Chinese philosophy is not from the external of it, but only from the inner of it. Namely, the legality can only come from the creative ability of Chinese philosophy. If it still has the ability, it is legal; otherwise, it is illegal. It means that the vitality of Chinese philosophy originates from the unique mode of Chinese thinking. It will not be a problem when the new philosophy, different from traditional Chinese philosophy and from western philosophy, appears in China.
