Research progress in catalysts for catalytic combustion

Catalytic combustion can play an important role in improving energy efficiency and controlling the emission of harmful gases.There are three major types of catalysts for catalytic combustion,among them the noble metal catalysts have excellent performances but are expensive,and the perovskite-type and hexaaluminates catalysts are inexpensive and exhibit a good high temperature catalytic activity,so they are more attractive.The catalysts types,preparation methods and the catalytic combustion performances of various catalysts were presented.
