To Chinese Comparative Poetics——Reflection on Poetic quality of Contemporary Chinese Literature Overseas

Chinese literature overseas as Chinese literature out of the Mainland clearly manifests the poetic quality of literature. Comparison of poetics lies not just in taking in impact from the western culture,but in the interconnection of the inner Chinese cultural ecology as well. Reverting to the Chinese comparative poetics helps to avoid the trend in the present study that it depends too much on the resources from the western culture while too little from Chinese culture,and also it helps to demonstrate the poetical beauty of Chinese literature,promoting the range it covers. Considered from the view of comparative poetics,Chinese literature contributes to the intercultural manifesta- tion of classical poetics and demonstrates the different modern experience from the domestic literature. The poetic quality makes up the variety of modernity of domestic literature intertextually and shows the real position of Chinese poetics which is modernized in the modern context. Thus,the spirits of the indigenous poetical cultural is demonstrated as the basic dimension on which the Chinese comparative poetics is established.
