Abstract

Objective: To observe the efficacy of surgical treatment on elderly pressure sores. Method: In addition to the basic treatment of pressure sores, the periphery of the wound as well as the surrounding scar tissue were all resected, whose range and depth attained micro-bleeding. The postoperative wound was drained with nitrofurazone gauze. Result: After a month of surgical treatment, 40 cases with III and IV pressure sores were cured and 27 ones improved whose effective rate was 71.3%. Among 52 cases with III pressure sores, the effective rate was 83.7% and 28 cases with IV pressure sores whose effective rate 50.0%. Conclusion: The application of surgical debridement surgery in the treatment of pressure sores can shorten the treatment course, reduce the treatment costs and increase the treatment results.
