Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of dexmedetomidine in preventing children agitation between anesthesia recovery period and its haemodynamics affect. Methods Sixty children received sevoflurane anesthesia were devided into two groups as observation group and control group, and each group contained 30 children. After operation, children in the observation group were injected with dexmedetomidine, while those in the cortrol group were injected with saline. The clinical parameters of heart rate, blood pressure and agitation of recovery period during anesthesia were recorded and compared. Results The MAP of observation group during the T2 and T3 was obviously lower than that in the control group, while the difference was not signtficant during the T0 period between two groups. The agitation of observation group was sharply inferior to the control group. The time of anesthesia recovery period in observation group was (24.2±4.4) min, while the control group was (15.6±4.1) min. Conclusion Dexmedetomidine is safe and can decrease agitation effectively, with small effect on hemodynamic and little side effect .
