Abstract

Because the True Arch Method and the Arch-Beam Method were mechanical,and the Finite Element Method was complicated,a sim- plification continuous analytical method of load transmission on horizontal arch of the parabola arch dam has been put forward according to the principle of mechanics and the integral calculus.The basic regularity of horizontal arch supporting force attenuation of the parabola arch dam has been discovered,which provides an effective basis for optimization design of arch dam in theory.
