Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the situations of environmental lead pollution and the children’s blood in the district of Taihe County. METHODS Flameless atomic absorption spectrometry was applied to determine lead quality in the air, water, soul, agriculture products and children’s blood of that district, weighted method was used to evaluate environmental lead pollution. RESULTS The lead level in the air, surface water, soul and wheat were higher than these of the national standard. The lead levels of children’s blood was also 98.3-441 μg/L, mostly higher than normal level of national standard. CONCLUSIONS The environmental lead pollution probable was the main cause for the children’s blood lead source.
