Complementarity and influencing factors of agricultural product trade between China and Africa

With the further agricultural cooperation between China and Africa, agricultural product trade showed a bright prospect of development in both sides. Based on the analysis on development status of China-Africa agricultural trade in recent years, this article analyzed the change of the comparative advantage and trade complementarities of agricultural products between China and Africa, by adopting Trade Integration Index(TII), Revealed Comparative Advantage Index(RCA), Trade Complementarity Index(TCI). The results showed that the China-Africa agricultural trade had strong complementarity and great potential for cooperation. Then it pointed out the main intluence factors on ChinaAfrica agricultural trade. Finally the paper put forward the relevant measures to promote the development of China-Africa trade in agricultural products, so as to promote the rapid growth of agricultural trade and the whole China-Africa trade.
