Abstract
The finite element software ANSYS is applied for 3D modeling of waste heat boiler structure under the joint action of temperature and load force. Based on the simplified model, numerical simulations of the thermal-structural coupling are performed. Thus the stress distribution contours of the whole model are obtained. Different paths are selected near the location of the maximum stress or along the thickness direction of the tube sheet. Then stress values on the paths are treated with linearization process. According to JB 4732—1995,stress intensity of the overall model and the tube sheet structure are assessed separately. The results of stress analysis and strength assessment indicate that the design of the tube sheet structure can meet the strength requirements.
