Abstract
The stress conditions of a 300MW subcritical natural circulation drum boiler were analyzed based on the three-dimensional Finite Element Method. The stress concentration conditions generated by the mechanical stress, thermal stress and the stress caused by pipe connection were simulated used by ANSYS. From the result of analysis, the location of the maximum stress was found and A method on how to prolong life of boiler drum was given.
