Abstract

Objective To study CT manifestations of diaphragmatic rupture(DR).Materials and Methods CT features of 18 patients with DR were analyzed retrospectively. The CT findings were compared with surgery. Results CT features of DR included diaphragmatic discontinuity, diaphragmatic thickening and intrathoracic herniation of abdominal viscera. The display rate of CT was affected by various factors such as machanism and position of DR.Conclusion Higher display rate was occurred in left DR with the size of 2 to 10 cm,accompanied with diaphragmatic hernia.
