On Samuel P. Hutington's Conflict of Civilization

The viewpoint held by the American scholar Huntington that international politics after the cold war will be dominated by the conflict of civilization, which is due to the different religion and belief, is not tenable.First of all, it is wrong to take the contradiction among civilizations as the fundamental one of the international politics. Secondly, the point that mutual move among them tends to conflict is also wrong.Practically, the theory can't explain the present international reality and it reflects on some of the Americans' hegemony in essence. The way of development tends to unite and be compatible.
