Abstract
Payi’s Analysis on Multi-politics and Huntington’s Conflicts of Civilization are typical examples of postmodernist views on difference politics. Taking multi-culture and multi-civilization as the departure point, they represented a new approach to understanding the multilevel political structure. However, they over-exaggerated the inherence and the inevitability of differences and conflicts in modern politics. Only a dialectic view can offer a scientific picture of the complex world politics to reveal peace and development as the theme of the times.
