Aesthetic education in colleges and universities facing 21st century

The esthetic education of colleges and universities is an important issue with which circles of aesthetic, education and the people all show their great concern.This paper holds that the aesthetic quality is always a vital criterion which evaluate the integral quality of the person and it has overall functions. Reinforcing the aesthetic education is quite necessary of the time. It also meets the needs to raise the spiritual level of the whole nation.The aesthetic education in colleges and universities,foucsing on cultivating the ability of both aesthetic appreciation and innovation of the students,should not only attach importance to the theoretic asthetic education but also to the practical aesthetic education. It is also necessary to train the students to be qualified with noble aesthetic ideas and improve them to perfect their personalities as well as help them to realize the goals of the people in an allround development.
