Abstract
Objective To study the effectiveness of interventional treatment for huge hepatic cavenous hemangioma. Methods Transcatheter intraarterial embolization with absolute alcohol and gelfoam particle to treat hepatic cavernous hemangioma. Results The size of tumor was decreased by more than 50 % in 5(71.4 %) of the total 7 patients and by less than 50 % in 2(28.6 %) of the total. No recurrence or significant complications occurred in this series. Conclusion For patients with huge hepatic cavernous hemangioma unsuitable for surgery, hepatic artery interventional embolization treatment proved a safe and effective method.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
