Structure Design of Asphalt Overlay on Old Cement Concrete Pavement

Abstract

Based on the structure design on composite asphalt concrete overlay,the design principles of asphalt concrete overlay was put forward,and the design pattern standards were determined.According to mechanical calculation with finite element method,and referring to Design Standard on Cement Concrete Pavement(JTG D40—2002),a reasonable thickness of asphalt concrete overlay was recommended,which can provide reference for the application and design of asphalt concrete overlay projects.
