Abstract
The phenomenon of land rocky desertification was severe in karst areas of Southwestern China.According to the spatial-temporal characteristics of rocky desertification occurrence and evolution in karst areas,this paper analyzed the simply causes of land rocky desertification,discussed and researched mainly the leading thought and the key points for preventing and curing it,and proposed some constructive preventive strategies,idiographic advice and efficacious countermeasures for rocky desertification control in karst area.The key points for preventing and curing it were as follows:①carrying through particularly geological survey in karst areas;②development and utilization of water resources by taking small watershed in karst areas as a unit;③demonstration of comprehensive management in the representative small watersheds.
