Status on Exploitation of Underground Water in Prevention and Control of Rocky Desertification in the Areas of Karst Rocky Mountain,Southwestern China

In generation and development rocky desertification is closely associated to the water insufficiency and exploitation of water resource is a chief matter in prevention and control of the rocky desertification.This paper analyzes natures of rocky desertification in origin and development,spatial distribution of water source in karst mountainous areas and conditions in development and exploitation,theoretically deals with the relationship in development of karst underground water and control of rocky desertification,and besides demonstrate the effects of developing karst underground water against rocky desertification by an instance.It is pointed out that development and exploitation of karst underground water play important roles for preventing and controlling the rocky desertification in karst mountainous areas.
