Abstract

Objective To explore the strategy for prevention of HBV recurrence and reinfection in patients with hepatitis B related liver diseases after liver transplantation. Methods 37 cases took Lamivudine before operation, hepatitis B immunoglobulin during operation, and both after operation, then we observed the results for 1 year post operation.Result A follow-up of 1 year showed that the reinfection rate of HBV was 16.2% and the recurrence rate of that was 5.4%.Conclusion HBIg and small dose lamivudine are effective to prevent HBV reinfection and recurrence in post-liver transplantation patients.
