Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of CT-guiding percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy in patients with pulmonary diseases. Materials and Methods 3652 patients with CT-guided percutaneous needle biopsy in patients with pulmonary diseases were retrospectively analyzed. Results Of 3652 cases, 2236 were malignant tumors proved by surgery, follow up or clinical examinations, in which 2148 cases were malignant tumors confirmed by needle biopsy and accuracy 96.1%. 88 cases (3.9%) were false negative.1140 cases were benign lesions and accuracy was 80.5%. Peumothorax occurred in 150 patients. Conclusion CT-guided percutaneous needle biopsy is a safe valuable diagnostic method in patients with pulmonary diseases.
