Abstract

The first theoretical problem socialism should solve is the essence of socialism. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, on the basics of the Marxist theory, Deng Xiao ping summarized the historical experiences, took into consideration the new condition of the reform, and gradually formed the scientific concept of the essence of socialism. It has cleared some fuzzy views, perfected the socialist system and accelerated the development of socialism.
