Abstract

This essay mainly concerns the challenges given by several Chinese women to the traditional patriarchal society,to show their suppressed awareness of feminist consciousness.Both“ Mother ” and “ I ” place their hope on the image of“ the Woman Warrio r”,but the image reflects value standards in the male-dominated society.It embodies conflict and puzzle in the novel as well as contradiction and problems in the feminism.
