The Formation Mechanism and Improvement Measures on Surface Transverse Cracks of Continuous Casting Slab

Combining the actual steel-making and continuous casting process of the medium and heavy plate plant in Jigang,the formation mechanism of the surface transverse crack are analyzed,the narrow composition control,the N content control in steel,the optimizing of secondary cooling water distribution,the ensuring of the equipment process parameters,the control of unsteady casting and so on,all the improvement measures are put forward.Of course,the good effect has obtained apparently after implementation of them.
