The Elite should be Proficient and the Generalist should have the Ability

During period of mass education,we must correctly handle relationship between general education and elite education.The modern elite education should reflect a high-level education on mass platform that built on basis of profound knowledge,that is education to cultivate high quality talent of sound mind and complete person who learning and research most sophisticated,cutting-edge knowledge;and general education is intended to develop a broad knowledge and perspective of people,it is necessary for individual training,ability shaping and independent development.Therefore,the general education is basical links for each type of education,especially is even more important to cultivation of elite.Aiming at condition of the elite is not proficient, generalist is not have ability in current higher education,the higher education should be scientific orientated and layered,establish a diversification concept of higher educational quality,and actively promote curriculum reform.
