Abstract
Objective To establish a fast high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) method for determination of melamine in milk and dairy products. Methods Melamine in milk and dairy products was extracted by acetonitrile, then separated used ZORBAX Eclipse XDB—C8 column(250×4.6mm,5μm) and the mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-sodium heptanesulfonate, finally analyzed by HPLC with photodiode array detector(PAD).Results The linear range of calibration curves were in rang of 1~50μg/mL,the correlation coefficient r0.9999,the recovery of standard addition were in rang of 93%~105%,the relative standard deviation(RSD) was 0.66% and the limits of detection were 1mg/kg for milk powder and 0.5 mg/kg for liquid milk products, respectively. Conclusion The results showed this method was simpl and rapid and it is adaptable to detect melamine in these products for factory inspection.
