The Research on the Contribution of Construction Land Expansion to China's Non-agricultural Economic Growth

Contribution of land to economic growth was often neglected in quantitative research because of its inelastic supply.Through analysis of land to economic growth,this paper presented that the space size of the buildings on the land aera should be used when measuring contributions of land to economic growth.This paper built the estimation model of the relative construction area,and actually estimated the contribution of China's construction land to non-agricultural economic growth by using the surpass logarithm production function form.The research showed:The average contribution of China's 28 provincial units' construction land expansion to non-agricultural economic growth was 2.88%,as well the contribution of relative volume ratio growth on behalf of land-use intensity was 8.79%.The total contribution of construction land to non-agricultural economic growth was 11.81%.
