The application of continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis on small-incision non-phacoemulsification cataractopiesis and intraocular lens implantation

Abstract

Objective To probe into the application of CCC on small-incision non-phacoemulsification cataractopiesis and intraocular lens implantation.Methods To apply the method of small-incision non-phacoemulsification cataractopiesis and intraocular lens implantation on 55 patients(65 eyes),to employ continuous circular capsulorhexis capsulorhexis and to make observation before and after the surgery.Results During the surgery,the crystal posterior capsular was ruptured in four eyes;after the surgery,the inflammatory reaction was slight for all eyes,with round pupils;a week after the surgery,there are 49 eyes(75.4%) whose corrected visual acuity(CVA) was higher than 0.5;after three months,there are 56 eyes(86.2%) whose CVA was higher than 0.5 and 44 eyes(67.7%) whose CVA was higher than 1.0.The common postoperative complications are corneal endothelial opacity and corneal edema,which can be recovered from three days to three weeks.Conclusion The CCC should be an indispensable technology for small-incision non-phacoemulsification cataratopiesis and intraocular implication and it can effectively improve the quality of cataract surgery.
