Abstract
As a new type of genetic marker and because of its special advantages, molecular marker was widely used in various field of biological sciences. On the basis of introducing the main types of present molecular markers and the characteristics of each marker, the applications of the markers in tree germplasm diagnostics, especially the applications in tree genetic breeding from the aspects of fingerprinting, genetic structure of populations, linkage mapping and marker assisted selection etc.,were described. Molecular marker provided an effective means for the research on variety distinguish, genetic relationship identification, and genetic structure of germplasm resources etc., which implied the brilliant prospect of molecular markers on forestry research fields such as increasing the research efficiency of tree genetic breeding, shortening the cycle of genetic breeding and heightening the dependability of directive breeding as well.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
