Abstract

Objective The aim of this study was to assess the GuttaFlow root canal filling system in reducing pain occurrence associated with root canal therapy by using single-blind method. Methods The teeth of the need for root canal treatment were randomly divided into two groups, using GuttaFlow plus gutta-percha point(experimental group)and zinc oxide-eugenol paste plus gutta-percha point(control group)for the root canal filling, respectively.Observed the occurrence of pain after two days and one week. Results There were statistically significant differences between and control group(P0.05).The degree and duration of pain in experimental group was lower than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Root canal filling with GuttaFlow flow at room temperature gutta-percha can reduce the incidence of pain after root canal therapy.
